GIVEAWAY POLICY
Many tours include a giveaway which Quill and Ink Book Tours coordinates through Rafflecopter unless run privately by the author. Quill and Ink Book Tours are in no way responsible for the giveaway except for picking the winner through Rafflecopter or Wheel of Names and providing the author with the e-mail and name of the winner(s). Prizes are handled by the author or publisher; unless mentioned otherwise, and they are responsible for distribution of the prizes and the giveaway.
- No purchase or payment is required to enter or win.
- You must be 18 or older to enter the giveaways.
- Void where prohibited by law.
- The duration of the giveaway and the content of the prizes will be mentioned in the post and/or rafflecopter.
- You can enter the giveaways by using the Rafflecopter unless mentioned otherwise.
- The number of eligible entries determines the odds.
- Giveaways are open internationally unless mentioned otherwise.
- Tour hosts can enter tour-wide giveaways. Tour hosts can’t enter individual giveaways hosted on their blog only, they can enter individual giveaways on other hosts’ blogs.
- Quill and Ink Book Tours and the author/ publisher are not responsible for any damaged/lost goods.
- The winner will be randomly chosen through either Rafflecopter or Wheel of Names and the winners will be notified by e-mail.
- Giveaways are sponsored by the author or publisher unless mentioned otherwise. They are responsible for distributing the prizes to the winners.
- Either the author or Quill and Ink Book Tours will notify the winner and if Quill and Ink Book Tours made the rafflecopter the winner’s names will be displayed on rafflecopter widgets. Once a winner is announced, an email will be sent.
- If we don’t receive a reply within 48 hours, after notifying the winner, a new winner will be chosen.
- No cheating allowed. Cheaters and contest junkies will be disqualified. Entries will be verified, if entries can’t be verified due to the winner not entering the correct link or information or their social media profile being private, the entry will be disqualified.
- This giveaway is in no way associated with Facebook, Twitter, Rafflecopter, or any other entity unless otherwise specified.
- The more entries you have, the higher your chance of winning the giveaway. Unless mentioned otherwise.
- Personal information entered for the giveaway won’t be shared with anyone else, except for the winner’s name and e-mail address which will be sent to the author. Only the host of the giveaway has access to entry information.
PRIVACY POLICY
Policy regarding information from tour hosts, giveaway entries, and newsletter
- Information entered for giveaways won’t be shared with anyone else, except for the winner’s name and e-mail address which will be sent to the author. Only the host of the giveaway has access to entry information.
- If you sign up for a tour, only Quill and Ink Book Tours can access the information you filled in on the form. Your information will never be shared. Your blog name and blog URL will be included in the sign-up post schedule. Your name, e-mail address, address, and/or preferred e-format will sometimes be shared with the author or publisher, but only if you sign up for a review post and the author distributes review copies. This will be mentioned in the sign-up post.
- If you sign up as a tour host, your e-mail address and information won’t be shared with anyone. Quill and Ink Book Tours is the only one with access to the full list of tour hosts and their information and will never share it.
- Information provided to enter tours, enter giveaways, or when signing up as a tour host will be stored by Quill and Ink Book Tours. Your blog name and blog URL will be listed on the tour schedule for that tour on my site.
- Information you fill in on Google Drive forms will be stored in Google Drive. If you sign up as a tour host that information will also be stored in my mailing list provider Mailerlite.
- Tour Host and mailing list data will be retained indefinitely unless you ask me to remove your data.
- You have the right to ask for a copy of your information at any time. You also have the right to unsubscribe from my mailing list or ask me to delete all your information.
THIRD PARTIES WE USE TO STORE AND COLLECT DATA
- All giveaways that are set up by Quill and Ink Book Tours are run through Rafflecopter, you can read their privacy policy here.
- Quill and Ink Book Tours also use Wheel of Names to draw giveaway winners. You can view their privacy policy here.
- Quill and Ink Book Tours use MailerLite to manage our tour host newsletter lists and to send emails to those on those lists. MailerLite is a third-party provider, which may process your data using industry-standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our newsletter. MailerLite’s privacy policy is available here. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter by clicking on the unsubscribe link provided at the end of each newsletter.
- Quill and Ink Book Tours use Google Forms to collect and store data when you sign up for a tour or as a tour host. You can read Google’s privacy policy here.
POLICY REGARDING GENERAL WEBSITE USE
- Quill and Ink Book Tours collect some information about how you use this website, mainly for purposes like stats, which will be stored in our website database.
- When you leave comments on our site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. If you click that you want a reply notification that information will also be stored and you’ll receive an e-mail when we reply to your comment.
- An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is posted, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment. If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
- Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the same way as if the visitor has visited another website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
- Personal data we hold about you can be erased except for data we’re obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
- Quill and Ink Book Tours do not share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law, develop my services, or protect my rights.
