Hello, my name is Marie, and I am the owner of Quill and Ink Book Tours. I’ve been an avid reader ever since I was three years old and teachers, friends, and family always commented that I was a quiet girl with her nose in a book, which I think is a great compliment.

My love of reading led me to a career in education where I specialized in children’s literature and reading. For many years I taught children of all ages until I became chronically ill. However, illness hasn’t stopped me. For the past nine years, I have been an author marketer, blogger, and reviewer. I am a reviewer for HarperCollins, William Morrow, St. Martin’s Press, Simon and Schuster, and many indie authors.

For years I have been a blogger and have seen the impact that these tours have on an author’s marketing and career as well as the joy it brings bloggers to share and promote these amazing books. So when I became chronically ill in January 2023 with Congestive Heart Failure I decided to start my own book tour company to help authors promote their books. This has been a long journey of preparation and dedication, but this year 2024 I launched my company Quill and Ink Book Tours in hopes of helping authors get their books into the hands of readers who will cherish those stories and share with others their thoughts on those books.

Marketing takes precious time and dedication therefore keeping an author from doing what they truly love, and that is writing. So, it is my goal to free you up to write your books by managing your tours and marketing, handling the graphic design of your tours, scheduling bloggers to post your tour and reviews, and most importantly spreading the word about your books, and for readers to read and review your books, further pushing your book into the world for many generations to enjoy.

Why Quill and Ink Book Tours? Well, I’ve always loved history and the art of hand-written notes and cards and I also enjoy journaling. So, I enjoy stationary and I do own a quill and ink pot and enjoy writing with it. So, this is why I named my company Quill and Ink Book Tours.

In my spare time in addition to my love of reading, I also enjoy caring for my beautiful cats, four Siamese, and a tabby, they are my children. I also enjoy volunteering for my local shelter writing cat bios for cats to get adopted, a cat surrender counselor to help pet parents keep their cats, or rehome them instead of placing them in the shelter system, and also helping write letters and articles for the shelter newsletter. Yes, I’m an animal and book lover!
